Madhya-līlā, Chapter 23, Text 12
রুচি হৈতে ভক্ত্যে হয় ‘আসক্তি’ প্রচুর ।
আসক্তি হৈতে চিত্তে জন্মে কৃষ্ণে প্রীত্যঙ্কুর ॥ ১২ ॥

Translation
“After taste is awakened, a deep attachment arises, and from that attachment the seed of love for Kṛṣṇa grows in the heart.”
