CC Antya 13.15

Antya-līlā, Chapter 13, Text 15

সন্ন্যাসী মানুষ আমার ভূমিতে শয়ন ।
আমারে খাট-তূলি-বালিস মস্তক-মুণ্ডন !” ১৫ ।। ॥ ১৫ ॥

sannyāsī mānuṣa āmāra bhūmite śayana
āmāre khāṭa-tūli-bālisa mastaka-muṇḍana”

Word by word

sannyāsī mānuṣa — a person in the renounced order of life; āmāra — My; bhūmite śayana — lying on the floor; āmāre — for Me; khāṭa — bedstead; tūli — quilt; bālisa — pillow; mastaka-muṇḍana — a great shame.

Translation

“I am in the renounced order, and therefore I must lie on the floor. For Me to use a bedstead, quilt or pillow would be very shameful.”
