Madhya-līlā, Chapter 18, Text 175

গৌড়িয়া — ‘বাটপাড়’ নহে, তুমি — ‘বাটপাড়’ ।
তীর্থবাসী লুঠ’, আর চাহ’ মারিবার ॥ ১৭৫ ॥

gauḍiyā — ‘bāṭapāḍa’ nahe, tumi — ‘bāṭapāḍa’
tīrtha-vāsī luṭha’, āra cāha’ māribāra

Translation

“The Bengali pilgrims are not rogues. You are rogues, for you want to kill the pilgrims and plunder them.”
